Alien: Out Of The Shadows Book Review

Hello Gemmies! I have a new audiobook review to share with you today. I was in the mood for a little space monster action and low and behold Audible comes through with a free Alien novel. Alien: Out Of The Shadows by Tim Lebbon was an absolutely wonderful audible dramatization complete with full cast narration and sound effects. The great Rutger Hauer was one of the voices.... does it get any better than that?!? It was like watching a movie!

Alien: Out Of The Shadows takes place 37 years after the events in the first Alien movie and fits well into the main storyline. There are even some spoilers to the series included. The action starts right away and keeps a breakneck pace throughout. This is a must read/listen for any fan of the series. The production quality is top notch and Laurel Lefkow narrating as Ripley was spot on! I actually thought it was Sigourney Weaver at first. At only four hours and twenty eight minutes long, this is a great way to escape for an afternoon. This is the first book in the Canonical Alien Trilogy and I will definitely continue on with the series.

If you are a fan of Alien, like monsters in space, science fiction horror, carnage, and pulse pounding action give this book a try. Produced by Audible Ltd, and Directed by Dirk Maggs, Alien: Out Of The Shadows is available for purchase from Audible and all major booksellers. I give Alien: Out Of The Shadows 5 out of 5 gems. Happy Listening!
