Hello Gemmies! I have some bittersweet news today. Two of the biggest literary events of the year, BookCon and BookExpo have been cancelled for 2020 due to concerns with COVID 19. Both events were to be held in New York City May 27th - 31st at the Jacob Javits Center. But have no fear they will be back in the Spring of 2021 and I for one cannot wait to attend!
BookExpo is the publishing industry's leading trade event, where Booksellers, Librarians, specialty retailers and national chains, Publishers and Tastemakers come together to discover the latest titles, authors, distribution channels, technology and trends. This one is for Industry Professionals.
BookCon is the event where storytelling and pop culture collide. Think ComicCon but for the literary world. Last year was a huge success with many literary greats and celebrities in attendance.
