Creature Feature Friday: New Blood Eldritch Blues Series Spotlight

Hello Gemmies, happy creature feature Friday! I have a new series to share with you today. I have been hearing a ton of buzz about the New Blood Eldritch Blues series by Debbie Cassidy. This is a new paranormal urban fantasy that released in 2022. So far there are four books planned in the series. These covers are gorgeous and the premise sounds intriguing. This story is about a woman who is trying to evict a parasitic monster that lives inside of her and along the way they fall in love. Sounds like something right up my alley! These covers are gorgeous too. I love the purple and black color theme. Listed below is the series order and to help get you started.

Series Reading Order:

Book One: Aberrant Monsters

Book Two: Insidious Monsters

Book Three: Righteous Monsters (06/02/22 Release Date)

Book Four: Ancient Monsters (09/08/22 Release Date)

Aberrant Monsters Synopsis:

I’m a rift walker, one of a handful of humans able to step into a world of monsters and arcane magic. We follow three simple rules:

  • Never step into the eldritch realm after sundown.

  • Never stay for more than an hour

  • Never, ever bring anything back

I broke all three rules.

Now my body is host to a psychotic aberration who materialises after sundown to haunt me in the flesh. Flesh arranged on a body made for sin, despite its monstrous proportions.

Telarion delights in tormenting me with his deep grumbling voice, and arrogant demands.

He wants out. He wants to be free, and I’m totally on board with finding a way to evict him.

But the Supernatural agency governing Eldritch activity have other plans for us.

They want us to work for them, hunting down other eldritch horrors. In return, they’ll refrain from exterminating us and find a way to separate us instead.

But the clock is ticking, because the longer we’re connected, the more I’m changing, and I’m afraid…Afraid that by the time they find a solution, it might be too late.

I might already be a monster.

Insidious Monsters Synopsis:

Telarion and I have an understanding: Luckily, catching eldritch is time consuming and exhausting work. Throw in an attempted kidnapping and a bunch of missing mystics, and who has time for matters of the heart, right? When I stumble into the path of an eldritch civilian in the eldritch realm, things get even more interesting. Turns out there’s an eldritch male on our side of the rift. Bringing him back could be the key to my questions about my mother and about the eldritch world. Danger and mystery could be my saviours, if only I could focus to get the job done. The only problem is Telarion has become more than my curse. He’s become my addiction. And our rules… Well, don’t they say rules are made to be broken?
