Even Tree Nymphs Get The Blues Book Review

Hello Gemmies! I have an entertaining new book review to share with you today. Even Tree Nymphs Get The Blues by Molly Harper is a new adult paranormal contemporary novella, set within the Mystic Bayou universe. This novella can be read as a standalone, but I recommend reading the series in order to get the most out of the story. Even Tree Nymphs Get The Blues returns us once again to Mystic Bayou, a tiny hidden town nestled in the swamplands of Louisiana. This time we follow Ingrid Asher and Rob Aspern. Ingrid, the newest resident in town, is a solitary tree nymph looking to live a quiet life running her ice-cream shop. That is easier said than done in a small town full of nosey shape-shifters, vampires, witches, dragons, and humans. Rob, head of the League’s data science department is immediately smitten with Ingrid and determined to get to know her better.

Even Tree Nymphs Get The Blues is a cute, fast read that you can complete in an afternoon. It is a bit tame compared to the other books in the series. There is no mystery element and there are no steamy scenes either. You do get some of the requisite humor that Molly Harper is known for but even that is very light. While there is good character development, nothing really happens to help move the larger story forward. It's safe to say, that you can skip this one and move on to the next book in the series. Even Tree Nymphs Get The Blues isn't bad, its just kind of dry. Die hard fans will enjoy this one, and have fun seeing how a creamery made it to Mystic Bayou.

If you are a fan of the Mystic Bayou series give this book a try! Published by Audible Originals, Even Tree Nymphs Get The Blues is available for purchase now. I give Even Tree Nymphs Get The Blues 3 out of 5 gems. Happy Reading!
