How To Marry A Werewolf Book Review

Hello Gemmies! I have a book review to share with you today. How To Marry A Werewolf by Gail Carriger is the first novella in the Claw & Courtship series. This series is set in the popular Parasolverse. How to Marry A Werewolf can be read as a stand alone novel. But, this is a series and as such I recommend reading the books in order. How To Marry A Werewolf takes place after the events Romancing the Werewolf (Supernatural Society Novella Series) and concurrently with the events in Reticence (Custard Protocol Series). The characters in this story are mentioned throughout the Parasol Protectorate and Custard Protocol series, so I really do recommend reading those first in order to get the most out of the characters and events.

How To Marry A Werewolf provides a lot more insight into my favorite surly werewolf....... Channing. This novella has the witty humor and banter that Gail Carriger is known for. But, I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of emotion she brought to this character and the story as a whole. The same goes for Faith, she was the perfect love interest for Channing. The main focus of the story is on their budding relationship and mending both of their broken hearts. There is light action and no shortage of balls. These provide wonderful glimpses of Victorian London life, manners, and of course....fashion. We also learn a lot more about werewolf pack dynamics and their inter relationships. Trigger Warning: this is an adult book and as such there is an abundance of heavy flirtation and steamy sexy scenes.

This gem published by Gail Carriger LLC is available for purchase from all major booksellers. I give How To Marry Werewolf 4 out of 5 gems. If you like sexy but surly werewolves, geologically knowledgeable love interests, fashion, Victorian London, and touching back stories, then go read this book! Happy Reading!
