Romancing The Werewolf Book Review

Hello Gemmies! I have a book review to share with you today. Romancing The Werewolf by Gail Carriger is the second novella in the Supernatural Society series. This series is set in the popular Parasolverse. This installment sees the reunion of my favorite two stylish werewolves Biffy and Lyall. One note: This is a series and as such I recommend reading the books in order. Romancing The Werewolf takes place after the events in Timeless from the Parasol Protectorate Series and chronologically after the events in Imprudence from the Custard Protocol series. You can read this novella as a stand alone, but to get the most out of the characters and events, you really should read the Parasol Protectorate series first and then the Custard Protocol series.

Romancing The Werewolf is lighthearted, fun and very romantic. There is a lot going on for our werewolf pack as they settle into their new home and pack structure. We also have a mystery to solve with someone leaving babies on the pack's doorstep. I absolutely love these characters and am fully invested in their outcome and happiness. Biffy is struggling with the confidence it takes to be Alpha. Professor Lyall is back home after twenty years serving as Beta for the Kingair pack and dealing with his own struggles. There are a few cameos in the novella including grumpy pack member Channing and flamboyant Vampire Lord Akeldama. Like Gail Carriger's other novels, the world building is detailed and original. We get glimpses of Victorian London life during the holidays.Trigger Warning: this is an adult book and as such there is an abundance of heavy flirtation and steamy sexy scenes.

This gem published by Gail Carriger LLC is available for purchase from all major booksellers. I give Romancing The Werewolf 5 out of 5 gems. If you like fashionable werewolves, well tied cravats, love and friendship, and action, then go read this book! Happy Reading!
