Shadow Blade Book Review

Hi Gemmies, I have a new book review to share with you today. Shadow Blade by Seressia Glass was a fun and fast read, full of contemporary paranormal action based on Egyptian mythology. This story was unique with great world building. Set in an alternative modern day supernatural Atlanta, it felt both familiar and new.

I loved that most of the characters in Shadow Blade are African American. I can never get enough diversity in my paranormal reads! The inclusion of Ancient Egyptian mythology was an added bonus. I think this is the first book that I’ve read that features a variety of Egyptian Gods/Goddesses. The characters were well thought out and likable. Although Kira our main protagonist was not my favorite. I’m hoping I warm up to her in future books. I’ll definitely be continuing on with the series!

If you are a fan of the paranormal, magic, goddesses, thrilling action, And fights between good and evil, go read this book. Published by Pocket Books, Shadow Blade is available from all major booksellers. I give Shadow Blade 4 out of 5 gems! Happy Reading.
