Treasure Mini AudioBook Review

Hello Gemmies! I have a new mini audiobook review to share with you today. Treasure by Oyinkan Braithwaite is a dark short story that is part of Hush, a collection of six stories, ranging from political mysteries to psychological thrillers. Each piece can be read or listened to as stand alone stories. My review is for the audio version of Treasure.

This story may be short but it is mighty. It is extremely well written and we see the dangers of living false lives on public platforms and what happens when deception and obsession collide. We follow Treasure, a wanna be Instagram influencer in Lagos, Nigeria and her number one fan @Sho4Sure. Events unfold from both characters perspectives as @Sho4Sure is determined to take his "friendship" with Treasure to the next level. Treasure highlights the class divide that is prevalent in every society and the lengths people will go to to preserve a false reality.

Treasure is narrated by one person Adepero Oduye. Who does a brilliant job differentiating each characters voice. The pacing was perfect and the story was over way too soon. I found myself wanting to hear more.

Published by Amazon Original Series, Treasure is available for purchase from Amazon and Audible. I give Treasure 5 out of 5 gems. I'm looking forward to reading the next installment in this collection. Happy Reading!
